It’s Pirate Week in the Lions preschool classroom! Our students are very busy learning through a variety of pirate-themed activities! They’ve been feeding letters to sharks, searching for buried treasure, and captaining their very own pirate ship!
The Lions preschool class are big fans of PETE the CAT! So much so that they even made delicious groovy buttons to enjoy after they read “Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons.” These yummy treats were made with bread circles, jam, marshmallow fluff, and sprinkles!
Did you know that there are major benefits to napping! Cornerstone kids do! Their nap time sleep promotes growth, helps the heart, helps fight germs, and boosts learning.
One of our preschool students tried her hand at teacher today! She worked with her classmates to teach letters and numbers, just like her teacher Miss Kathy does during group time. Each student took a turn identifying a letter or number and then “fed” it to PETE the CAT.
Happy 23rd Cornerstone Anniversary to Penguins Infant Teacher Ms. Marian! That’s approximately 240,000 diapers changed! Thank you for all you do for Cornerstone, our students, and their families!
It’s our 100th day of school for the 2017-2018 school year! Parents and guardians, be sure to grab a special treat for your “smartie” tonight!
Look at these happy faces! They’re thrilled to have a new book to take home thanks to the Siteman Family Foundation’s Books In Hand Initiative.
Our creative teachers have kept our students active during these very cold temperatures with some fun activities including musical chairs and indoor ice skating with waxed paper!
