Sustainment through Generosity

As a non-profit, Cornerstone Center relies on your generosity to help strengthen families. One of the many ways you can help is through in-kind donations of goods and services. Some of the most popular methods to provide in-kind support are listed below.

Adopt-a-Family

Adopting a family for the holiday season is an easy and meaningful way to make the dark days of winter brighter for Cornerstone children in need and their families. Adopters purchase at least one gift for each person in the adopted family, and may also provide additional support to meet specific needs (grocery gift cards, bedding, paying a bill, etc.). To learn more, email Development Specialist Jami Melton at jmelton@cornerstonecenterstl.org.

Auction Item

Do people rave about your cooking? Donate a private cooking lesson to our auction. Own a vacation home? Donate a stay. Have a membership to The Fox? Donate a pair of seats for a show. If you have a special skill, membership, or asset, we’d appreciate your sharing it with us to help raise vital funds as an item in our twice-annual auctions. To learn more or contribute an item, email Development Director Dani Smith at dsmith@cornerstonecenterstl.org

Birthday Buddies

Do you love to plan parties? Show Cornerstone children how special they are during their birthday month by assembling snack, drink, activity and decoration items to create a “Birthday in a Box” for a classroom celebration. Learn more about how to contribute through the Birthday Buddies program here.

Cornerstone Closet

Cornerstone Closet is a free store open to Cornerstone families in need. The items in the store range from clothing and shoes, to household and child care essentials, to toys and books, and more. All items in the store were generously donated to Cornerstone Center, and are either in new or lightly-used condition. Learn more about Cornerstone Closet here.

In-Kind Sponsorship

Cornerstone events for family support, staff appreciation, and fundraising can require food, beverages, rentals, decorations, entertainment, and more. Donations of such items and services from commercial kitchens, restaurants, catering or events companies and the like help to offset costs and save more funds for direct services. If you would like to learn more about partnering with Cornerstone as an in-kind sponsor, email Development Director Dani Smith at dsmith@cornerstonecenterstl.org.

Wish List

The Wish List is a big way Cornerstone procures the items we need in our classrooms and in our offices. Shop for items we can always use more of here. Questions? Email Development Director Dani Smith at dsmith@cornerstonecenterstl.org.
