What is Cornerstone Closet?
Cornerstone Closet is a free store open to Cornerstone families in need. The items at the store range from clothing and shoes, to household and child care essentials, to toys and books, and more. All items in the store were generously donated to Cornerstone Center, and are either in new or lightly-used condition.
Who does Cornerstone Closet Help?
We designed Cornerstone Closet in order to help alleviate financial burdens on members of our community. By establishing a free store full of useful, in-demand goods, we strive to help Cornerstone families in need.
How Can I Help?
As a free store, Cornerstone Closet relies on donations. At this time, we accept household supplies and child care-related items. (Donated items that are not picked up by families after several months may be donated to another organization that will share them with community members in need, such as Rodd Church on Tholozan or Bread of Life Church on N 11th Street.) We are also looking for volunteers to help out with managing and organizing donations. If you’d like to help, please contact Development Director Dani Smith at dsmith@cornerstonecenterstl.org or (314) 865-5244.
How Does It Work?
Shopping sessions are available by appointment to Cornerstone families. To set up an appointment, contact our Family Advocate by email at mdorenbusch@cornerstonecenterstl.org or by phone at (314) 865-5244.
