July 21-August 10 Closure

Friends and families of Cornerstone Center, we are disheartened to announce that due to a staff member testing positive for COVID-19, we will be closed until Monday, August 10th. This decision was not made lightly, but the safety of our children, our families, and our staff is paramount.

As a result of our closure, the Pre-K Graduation which was set to take place Saturday, July 25 has been rescheduled as a virtual event for July 31. In its place, at 10 a.m. on July 25, we will be hosting a Q&A Livestream on our Facebook page with our Executive Director, Karen Lucy, who will be answering questions from YOU, our community and friends, about the current situation. If you would like to submit a question, please do so before end of day on July 24 by emailing Dani Smith, our Director of Development, at dsmith@cornerstonecenterstl.org.

Throughout the closure, we will not be requesting tuition from our families, but we will continue to pay our staff. We firmly stand by these decisions, but we also recognize that these choices do put a financial strain on Cornerstone Center. As many of you may know, we are currently in the middle of our 26th Annual Celebration for Children | Going Virtual! fundraising campaign. This event has now become all the more important to ensuring that Cornerstone Center will still be able to provide high-quality childcare and education moving forward.

We ask you now to please consider supporting Cornerstone Center as we navigate this difficult situation by donating or participating in our fundraising auction which you can find here: CSTONE20.givesmart.com.

In our Premier Live Auction, which closes Friday, we are offering some incredible items for bidding, such as a Luxurious Seven-Day Vacation in Destin, Florida. Please consider helping Cornerstone Center persevere with bids or donations.

Thank you all so much for your patience, generosity, and help during this period. We understand these are difficult times, and we couldn’t be more grateful for all the kindness and support we have received thus far.
