Cornerstone Center for Early Learning Receives $25,000 Grant from Bayer Fund

CORNERSTONE CENTER FOR EARLY LEARNING RECEIVES $25,000 GRANT FROM BAYER FUND

ST. LOUIS, MO / February 5 – Cornerstone Center for Early Learning is proud to announce it has received a $25,000 grant from Bayer Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer in the U.S. This investment will support Cornerstone’s nutrition program by providing children with protein-rich foods along with fresh fruits and vegetables that are essential for healthy growth, brain development, and overall well-being.

The grant will strengthen Cornerstone’s ability to offer balanced, nourishing meals while expanding children’s exposure to a wide variety of healthy foods. Many of these foods may be new to children, helping to broaden their palates and support positive nutrition habits from an early age.

“Bayer Fund’s continued support plays a vital role in ensuring our children have access to nutritious meals that support both their physical health and their ability to learn,” said Ta’Lisha Franklin, Center Director of Cornerstone Center for Early Learning. “This funding allows us to broaden the range of healthy foods we serve and helps children build a strong foundation for lifelong wellness.”

Aligned in a shared commitment to thriving communities, Bayer Fund’s investment will help Cornerstone ensure that St. Louis–area children in its care are better positioned to reach their social, behavioral, and academic potential. Access to consistent, high-quality nutrition supports improved focus, sustained engagement, and progress toward key developmental milestones as children prepare to enter kindergarten. Cornerstone is honored to receive this support from Bayer Fund again this year.

Bayer Fund advances Bayer’s mission Health for all, Hunger for none by partnering with nonprofits and community organizations to address food and nutrition needs and promote health and wellness.

“Bayer Fund is proud to support Cornerstone and its meaningful work in the community,” said Amy Simpson, Director of Philanthropy & Community Impact at Bayer Fund. “Programs like Cornerstone address the critical challenge of food insecurity, and we are honored to help expand access to healthy, nutritious food for children and families in St. Louis.”
